A Historic and Sophisticated Wedding & Event Venue Near Houston

Built in 1910 by F.D. Brandt, the now-iconic Brandt 1910 building—affectionately known as the “Coca-Cola Building”—first opened its doors as a local general store in the heart of Wallis, Texas near Fulshear, and just west of Houston. Over the years, the space evolved to include a pharmacy that served the community alongside Dr. J.T. Mize’s medical office, both vital to the growth of early Austin and Fort Bend County commerce along the Gulf, Colorado, and Santa Fe Railroad.

By 1986, the general store had been transformed into a series of local restaurants and an antique shop owned by preservationist Cal Ray Schluter, whose dedication helped protect this historic Fulshear landmark for future generations.

In 2022, Joshua and Natalie DeJong purchased the building with a vision to restore and preserve its century-old charm—reimagining it as Brandt 1910, a historic wedding and event venue near Houston that blends Texas heritage with timeless sophistication.

Today, Brandt 1910 stands as one of the most charming historic wedding and event venues near Fulshear, Texas, offering Houston-area couples and families a space where modern celebrations meet timeless heritage. Every detail of the restored building reflects a deep appreciation for its past—blending Texas charm, elegant design, and heartfelt hospitality. Whether you’re planning a wedding, private party, or corporate gathering, our team is dedicated to helping you create unforgettable memories within this beautifully preserved piece of Wallis history.
